We took a little trip to a nearby town where they were having festivities in the square...
and found a place where we had good view of the grounds and the people going by
including the political action
without being in the middle of the big crowd.
We waited for the sun to set. Some were more content

Finally...the sun set...
the fireworks began...
and we realized we had picked a truly horrible spot to watch the fireworks.
There was a bus and trees between us and the fireworks
and we would have had better seats if we had tailgated in the parking lot.
