You Capture: Still Life

This week's theme for You Capture is still life.   I photographed some pine cones that have been hanging out on my back porch for a couple of days.  These are some I had Josiah gather when I was hot-gluing pine cones on my front door wreath--they are extras for when the inevitable happens and a pine cone dives from the wreath.

I took these next two shots this afternoon when my husband surprised me with a lunch date to the Blue Willow Inn.  I have lived most of my life within about an hour of this famous restaurant, and yet this was my first time eating there.  We toured the upstairs of the mansion and that's when I took this shot of a front porch column:

There were lovely ornamental cabbage beds around the walkways.

...and, yes, our lunch date was fabulous!  What a treat!

Pretty! I have several shots of those columns, too--aren't they lovely? I love the Blue Willow Inn--never liked fried green tomatoes until I had theirs. Great...now I want some! LOL

Love the pinecones! One year, I glittered up a bunch of pinecones and put them in a bowl on the table for holiday decorations. There was glitter everywhere, but I loved seeing them at dinner time. Thanks for visiting my blog!
