Josiah (11) recently told me that he had seen "on the news" that the nationwide average amount of money the Tooth Fairy leaves is $3.80. She doesn't leave nearly that much here--she leaves $1.00, which is four times the amount she left
me for the majority of my lost teeth when I was a child.
